Safety Is a Requirement at Hale Glass

In the commercial glass industry — as in any construction environment — safety is paramount. At Hale Glass, safety is not aspirational or implied. It is a defined requirement, supported by clear procedures, documented standards, and consistent enforcement.

Our work involves heavy materials, specialized equipment, and complex site conditions. For that reason, Hale Glass maintains an OSHA-compliant safety program designed to eliminate or control both known and potential safety and health hazards across every jobsite, and hires independent safety inspectors to review our fabrication facility and job sites and ensure full compliance.

Hale Glass Safety Mission

A primary goal of Hale Glass, Inc. is to eliminate or control workplace hazards through structured planning, training, and accountability. Our safety requirements are guided by the following principles:

  1. Safety and health are shared responsibilities. From leadership and supervisors to every individual in the field, everyone is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment.

  2. Maintaining a safe and healthful jobsite is a top priority. Safety requirements apply at all times and are integrated into daily operations.

  3. Hazard awareness is mandatory. Employees are expected to identify, correct, or report hazards promptly.

  4. Hazards must be controlled. When hazards cannot be eliminated, they are reduced through administrative controls or, when necessary, proper personal protective equipment.

  5. Training is required. Every individual is trained to safely perform assigned tasks and is encouraged to speak up if additional guidance is needed.

  6. Safe work practices are a condition of employment. Consistent adherence to safety standards is essential to every role at Hale Glass.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): A Strictly Enforced Standard

Personal Protective Equipment is a non-negotiable requirement on every Hale Glass project. PPE plays a critical role in preventing injury and protecting the long-term health and well-being of our team.

Mandatory PPE includes:

  • Gauntlets and glass gloves when handling any glass, including off-loading deliveries.

  • Safety glasses worn at all times.

  • Hard hats on all job sites and in areas with overhead hazards.

  • Work boots — athletic shoes are not permitted.

  • Earplugs when working near noisy equipment such as saws and CNC machinery.

  • Fall protection when using reach equipment or working on open decks.

These requirements are strictly enforced as part of the Hale Glass OSHA-compliant safety program and daily jobsite protocols. All field personnel maintain a minimum OSHA 10 certification, with many team members holding OSHA 30—reflecting our ongoing commitment to jobsite safety.

A Commitment to Safe, Consistent Execution

Safety at Hale Glass is built into how we plan, train, and execute work — from the shop to the field. By maintaining clear requirements and consistent standards, we protect our workforce, support reliable project delivery, and uphold the expectations of our architectural and construction partners.

Because in commercial glazing, safe work is foundational to quality work.

Hale Glass — precision, performance, and safety on every project.
